On June 12, 2026, a New York federal court granted the defendant bank’s motion to dismiss the plaintiff-customer’s Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) action, finding that plaintiff lacked standing to bring the FCRA suit based on the absence of damages and, regardless, the claim failed to state a claim because no claim under the FCRA accrues until 30 days have elapsed from the time of notice to the bank and here the bank had corrected any alleged error by such time. Chris Turcotte represented the bank. Jiang v. JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., 2026 WL 17083505 (S.D.N.Y. June 12, 2026).
